| What is this game about?
This game, CreditSafe, challenges you to use credit cards wisely.
At the beginning of the game, you select a profile similar to
your true financial situation. Next, you set up amounts in your
checking and savings accounts and income from your jobs or other
sources such as allowances from parents. Then, you select up to
three credit cards, which you'll be using in the game.
Now, you use your credit cards to purchase items for projects
that you select. After selecting a project, such as building a
desktop computer, you are allowed to buy items over the course
of several weeks toward that project. You are challenged with
using the credit cards responsibly and you are scored on how well
you use your credit cards, pay your credit card balances, and
manage your money.
To make CreditSafe even more realistic, we have life events pop
up randomly throughout the game. One event may be that you sat
on your glasses and you must buy another pair for $100. A good
event may be that your Grandma sent you a gift for $50. For further
credit card or game information, see
the online manual (PDF). |
